Children Concerned is a not for profit organization, affiliated with ACFI (African Christians Fellowship International). Their goal is to raise awareness about the orphaned children of Liberia, and assist Christian families that express interest in Liberian adoptions or sponsorship.

Intelligent Design Group expressed an interest in helping Children Concerned with a face lift for their existing website. The old site was a mix of a variety of styles, colors and typefaces. It was hard to read, hard for visitors to find the information that they were looking for and difficult to update.

We were able to present Children Concerned with a consistant look and color scheme for the site that provides a level of branding that they had previously not been able to achieve. The layout was standardized across all pages to provide easy access to site navigation and a consistant style for readability. An increased use of imaging helps to create a sense of excitement about the topics presented. Pages were organized to present common information in discreet sections to allow visitors to quickly gain access to the information that they are seeking and also to enable them to easily discover new topics that might be of interest.

A new design element that was very well received by Children Concerned is the use of the quote and associated photo on each page header. Children Concerned has a large archive of photos from their many mission trips to Liberia and was very eager to provide quotes from adoptive families and members of their mission teams. The quotes were chosen to be topical to each page of information presented and serve as a kind of introduction to the material on each page. Once again, this visual element helps to add a sense of excitement and purpose to each page.

The new website has been very well received by both Children Concerned and their site visitors. Children Concerned is now able to update their site more frequently and add topical information and photographs as their mission develops. Visitors are finding the information that they need more quickly and reliably and are getting excited about the information and goals that Children Concerned is presenting. Intelligent Design Group is proud to have provided a site that presents Children Concerned as a professional organization that is serious about it's mission and the image that they present to the public.
